I’m born and raised Canadian with Iraqi parents. I grew up learning the Iraqi dialect so I would say I am about 70% fluent in speaking Iraqi Arabic. I moved to Dubai 2 years ago and immediately noticed how different the various Arabic dialects are which has motivated me to try and learn the Levantine and Egyptian dialects. My goal is to learn the Levantine dialect given there are so many Jordanians, Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinians living in Dubai.
