Marhaban, everyone! I’m new to talkinarabic and I’m studying so I can understand my Arab friends at my University! I am growing closer to them every week and want to visit them in their home countries and also watch movies in Arabic, since that opens a whole new world of media to me. My name is Alex and I am interested in several Arabic dialects, but the one that most interests me is Levantine Arabic as spoken in Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Palestine, and Jordan. (For the record, I am interested in the Arabic language as spoken in these places, I’m not here for a political discussion about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict). I also use Duolingo and Kaleela. I look forward to connecting with other Arabic learners and learning more about the language, culture, and history of the Arab world!
